Concrete Cancer Repair Work

Concrete cancer is caused when the steel reinforcing within a concrete slab begins to rust. As the steel rusts it expands, displacing the concrete around it, causing it to become fragile and crack thus accelerating the process. Over time, and with increased exposure to the elements, untreated pieces of concrete may fall from your structure.
For situations where concrete carbonation are the issue, we recommend using a polymer modified repair system. This option removes the concrete around the reinforcing bars and cleans the steel, before applying both the steel primer, and a polymer modified material.

Popcorn / Vermiculite Ceiling

Vermiculite ceilings were used in the past as a fireproof and acoustic measure, however homeowners today are looking at ways to remove or suspend a false ceiling over them sometimes the cost can be to much or they can't lower the ceilings because of height issues, therefore we use a plaster based formulation that can be trowelled on and left to a smooth finish ready for paint. No sanding required.

Acrylic Render Finish

Acrylic makes the render much stronger and more flexible than traditional rendering mixes, which means that it is much less likely to crack after it has been applied. Acrylic render is easy to apply and it can be rolled, trowelled or even sprayed onto a surface. Three coats are generally applied during the process.
Acrylic render is also incredibly fast drying. It takes just a few days to cure instead of up to a month like traditional render. It is also water resistant and will not succumb to bacteria and fungi.

Plaster Work

Plasterwork refers to construction or ornamentation done with plaster, such as a layer of plaster on an interior or exterior wall structure, or plaster decorative moldings on ceilings or walls. The process of creating plasterwork, called plastering, has been used in building construction for centuries.
The primary objectives of plastering are to protect the surface from atmospheric influences, to conceal porous materials and to provide a suitable surface for painting. We apply base coat and finishing coat carefully during the process.

Texture Coat Finish

Texture finishes can range in thickness from paints through to a 1mm thick coating/render. They are an alternative to a traditional paint finish. They add extra dimension to a wall, making it appear like a coloured render with suble tone variations. The thicker the coating on an exterior wall the longer it will last.
Generally in appearance these texture finishes will not fill imperfections in a wall but they can make imperfections less noticable.
